Blueberry Peanut Butter Protein Smoothie

You all know I’m a big believer in the importance of post workout nutrition.  Fueling your body after a grueling workout helps your muscles to recover which in turn allows you to burn more body fat.

Here’s one of my favorite post workout smoothies:

Blueberry Smoothie

1 cup unsweetened almond milk

1/4 cup plain old fashioned oatmeal (uncooked)

1 cup frozen blueberries

1 cup spinach

1 tablespoon natural peanut butter

1 scoop chocolate protein powder

1 cup of ice

 

Blend together and not only get the muscle recovery going right away but enjoy a delicious treat at the same time!
