Will You Leave a Legacy?….

Image result for reaching your dreams

Yesterday I had the opportunity to speak to several hundred baseball players along with their families at a baseball banquet for the North Park Baseball League.  The cool part is that just about 20 years ago I was a player in that same league and had no idea what the future would hold or the hard work that it actually takes to accomplish your goals and your dreams.

I stressed to them that the next 20 years are going to fly by and before they know it they will be sitting there reflecting on the memories they made playing the game of baseball.  However it’s what they do in those next 20 years that will tell their story.

Have you ever stopped and thought about that for a minute?…..  What is YOUR story?  If you never thought about it before maybe it’s time you should; because the best part about YOUR story…. is you get to write YOUR own script.

What do you want to achieve, how do you want to be remembered?  When you are 90 years old sitting on your front porch what do you want to say you have done?  What kind of role model do you want to be for your children, grandchildren, friends, family, or anyone that has the chance to get to know you?  Will you be known as a DOER (someone who finds a way to get things done) or will you be someone who had great intentions and dreams as big as the sky but were filled with excuses as to why you never made them happen?

Only YOU know the answer!!!

I can tell you this, high level athletes and successful people think differently than the average person.  They focus on the process; the blood, sweat, tears, hard work, and sacrificing that goes on behind the scenes, while the others just focus on the end result, expecting high levels of success to happen overnight.

Don’t you think if it was really that easy everyone would be successful and everyone would accomplish all of their goals and dreams?  There’s a reason why way to many people never reach the levels of success they dream about, they are being out worked by someone else who has the same goals and dreams that they do.  However if you ask them why they will give you every excuse in the book as to why they have yet to make it happen.

Excuses don’t change reality, all they do is make us feel better about why we have yet to accomplish our goals and our dreams. So remember what I always say: If it was easy everyone would do it.

Now get out there and make things happen!  What story will the pages in your book tell?  The answer is up to you?  Remember you get to write your own script.

If you want my help it’s really as simple as asking me right here

Committed to Your Success,

Mike
